Located at the halfway point on Wherryman’s Way, the mill and visitor centre will be an ideal stopping off point.

Nearest car parking is at Hardley Staithe.  From there walk up the footpath on the left hand side of the staithe.  Follow path along riverside until you reach the windmill (approx 1 mile).  At the moment this path is unsuitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.  The path will be improved as part of the river bank works on this section of the Yare.  Unfortunately this work has been put back and is not scheduled until 2011.  

There is no access to the mill by car (unless by prior arrangement).

1) Turn off A146 at exit signed               “Chedgrave Langley”

2)  Fork left after entering 30mph limit

3)  Straight on at crossroads signed           “Hardley”

4) Follow road ahead until it ends at Hardley Staithe.  Car parking is available.

5) Take footpath along left hand bank of the staithe
